Construction Zone Update

Howdy from the construction zone. Here are some updated pics with commentary. The progress made is extraordinary so far this month.

The above picture is looking through the existing kitchen to the dining room. You can see the cabinets are gone and the flooring is mostly gone. We have started eating in the old dining room again since it allows for more space.

Here is a view of the soon to be expanded laundry room. The frame of its new boundary is at the front of the picture. The flooring there will be removed eventually.

This picture shows the newly expanded hallway from the front door. The powder room is now out of commission. The hinging lightswitches present a unique obstacle of navigating the ground floor.
In this picture you can see the kids are coping with the changes very well. This picture also lets you see that Eliana is putting her new tying skills to good use. She tied the two rolling boxes to the back of the fire truck and little Zev was driving the big sisters around the house. How cute is that?We have setup some mats for the kids to play on in the kitchen and the dining room. In this picture Jessa and Zev are enjoying doing some art in the dining room. They are very good adhering to the "don't touch the fiberglass" rule.

Even little Davica gets to play on the mats with her siblings!

The kids still enjoy watching folks work before they leave for school in the morning. In this shot, the girls are watching a crew put insulation in the addition. This picture was this morning.

The insulation went in so fast, that Dave asked the drywallers if they would like to start today. And below is what they accomplished:

This is the back door of the addition.

Here is the new bathroom. Tub area still needs a tub and some tile!

Here is the away room. Please note that all ceilings are in now!

This is a view of the family room of the addition. Now you can get a feel for how the cathedral ceiling will look.

And finally, the new kitchen. Check out all the lights! It is going to be sweet!
